And the Carver is....
If you watched Nip/Tuck last night, to nearly no one's surprise, Dr. Quentin Costa was revealed as the Carver. The twist (what little there was) was that Det. Kit McGraw was his collaborator and sister. Nearly everyone thought that Quentin was the Carver, but he seemed so obvious that many of us dismissed him. Even Murder She Wrote use to do a better job in hiding who the murderer was. A lot of people (including myself) were disappointed. We were hoping with all the build up and hype that they would shock us, maybe Sean with a split personality disorder or little Annie wearing a strap-on (okay that's wrong on too many levels). Instead we get the most obvious person for the dumbest reason. It was just too disappointing, I expect better from Nip/Tuck.
The two hour finale aside from the Carver wasn't too bad. I enjoyed Matt's storyline. It was strange watching Matt act like a decent human being. The Nazi chick's father gave being a homophobic racist a bad name. I was glad that Matt's friend Cherry plugged him. Hopefully his near death experience will shake him out of this asshole spell, and he'll be more like the season 1 Matt.
We found out that Julia is pregnant with Sean's child last week. Julia and Sean are getting back together but Julia being Julia is keeping a secret from him about their baby. We think making the child has some prenatal defects, but with this show Julia might have found out she's carrying the Anti-Christ.
This season's finale was well belong Season 1 and 2's finales. With the Carver out of the way, I hope the show goes back to its roots and makes the drama about the inner demons Christian, Sean, Julia and Matt fight, not outer demons like the Carver. The season finale gets a B. The entire season gets a C+.
